In the years ahead, we will continue to introduce new products, each one carefully selected and thoughtfully developed with our customers’ needs, wants, and safety at heart.
My Heart and Soul
The story of Kisime begins with sacrifice. In the early 1980s, Mr. Can Tang fled war-torn Vietnam in search of the American Dream — a journey that would cost his family more than words can express. Adrift in the South China Sea, their vessel was attacked by pirates. Despite summoning every ounce of his strength, he could not save his daughter from being taken.
“My heart and soul disappeared as I heard my daughter’s screams — her arms outstretched, her eyes searching for me to rescue her as she was taken away by pirates. It felt like the end of my world.”
Where many would have surrendered to grief, Can Tang found purpose. Knowing that his wife and son needed him more than ever, he resolved to build a good life for his family in the United States. To this day, he leads a non-profit organization dedicated to searching for his daughter and for other children who have been taken from their families.
That same determination defined his career. His relentless work ethic and devotion to customer service earned him recognition as Chief Auto Parts (AutoZone) Manager of the Year in 1997 — selected from more than 700 candidates for record-breaking sales. The drive that earned him that honor has never left him.
Guided by these experiences and a sincere desire to help others, Can Tang joined forces with many medical professionals to establish Kisime, an herbal nutraceutical company built on integrity and care.
He demands nothing less than the finest ingredients for the people he serves. His philosophy is simple: to offer healthy, life-changing solutions backed by research and science. It is his firm belief that Kisime’s products can promote overall wellness and help address the deficiencies and ailments of modern life.

Dr. La Motta Roundtree — President of Kisime, All-Natural Coffee Beverage & Dietary Supplements
Dr. La Motta Roundtree, widely known as “Music Man Ph.D.”, is far more than just a musician. He is a visionary businessman, artist, pastor, and humanitarian whose work is deeply rooted in purpose and impact. With a career that spans decades, Roundtree has built a lasting legacy — a graduate in business development and computer accounting, an author, and a professional drummer who has worked alongside major artists, later evolving into a prolific songwriter and producer.
He has helped manage and create healthy products for consumers’ health needs, and has written nearly 200 songs in collaboration with a UK-based studio — many alongside his wife, producer Lorraine J. Roundtree. His artistry reflects both experience and spiritual depth. Holding doctorates in philosophy and humanitarianism, his mission remains clear: to use Kisime’s all-natural products and music as a vehicle for love, peace, and global connection.
